On April 11th, 2018, Preston Contractors received notification from the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health Safety and Training that we had received the Joseph A. Holmes Safety Award. Preston Contractors works with Mettiki Coal and Tunnel Ridge, both part of the Alliance Resource Group. Preston Contractors previously received this prestigious award in 2012 and 2016. This is a direct result of the commitment to safety in the workplace our valued employees bring each day. The Joseph A. Holmes Safety Association is a nonprofit organization that promotes health and safety in the mining industry. It consists of representatives from federal and state governments, mining organizations, and labor. The ownership and management at Preston Contractors would like to thank their employees, supervisors, and safety staff, along with our partners at Mettiki and Tunnel Ridge, for their excellent work and continued commitment to safety.
