FAQ

  • Will I have to jump around between projects?

    No. With few exceptions, you will be working on the same project from start to finish. We offer our clients the consistency of a team throughout the course of their project because it’s a benefit to our employees as well.

  • Is there a lot of travel involved in working for Preston?

    Not usually, no. We try to match people to jobs closest to the community they call home to minimize travel and commute time.

  • What can I expect from the safety training I’ll receive?

    When it comes to safety training, we never skip a beat. All of our employees must undergo MSHA and OSHA training in excess of legal minimums because we believe a successful job is one that everyone walks away from in one piece.

  • Does Preston offer any room for advancement?

    At Preston, we believe each person has the potential to achieve their goals, and we provide solid, consistent opportunities for training that will help you get from where you are to where you want to be.

  • How big are the projects?

    It depends. Sometimes we have a 3-year contract with teams of more than 20 people; other projects have a faster turnaround time and a team of 4-5.

  • Do you hire seasonal/contract employees?

    We do more hiring during the high season, but we are always looking for good help.
