Jed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Frostburg State University and a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management from West Virginia University. He has been active in the field of occupational health, safety, and environmental quality since 2013, and holds many professional certifications.
Prior to joining Preston Contractors, Jed supported a global DoD manufacturer by improving safety performance and reducing environmental footprints while maintaining federal, state, and local regulations. He also provided industrial hygiene services to the business to quantify and reduce employee exposures to any known hazard.
As the Director of Quality Systems (occupational health, safety, & environmental quality) at Preston Contractors, Jed is tasked with the overall strategic direction of risk identification and mitigation. He is committed to improving human performance by understanding the nature of exposure and risk with a balance of education, enforcement, and teamwork to improve the human function from levels of the CEO to the field sites. He also ensures industrial hygiene services and appropriate management systems are in place to help employees maintain their quality of life.
