he Independent Oil and Gas Assoication of West Virginia (IOGAWV) sponsored a Responding to Natural Gas Emergencies clinic at the Kingwood VFD Sunday July 29th. The training was open to all first responders of Preston County and taught by WVU Fire Extenison Service. IOGAWV made a donation to the fire department for expenses associated with hosting the training. "IOGAWV believes in keeping our first responders trained and aware of the growing gas industry in WV. Thats why they held this event and have or are holding others throughout the state of WV" said Charlie Burd Executive Director of IOGAWV. A previous training was held in Gilmer County and more are scheduled for Marshall County and in Buckhannon. If any county is interested please contact the IOGAWV office in Charleston to set up a class. Ethan Rouzee of Preston Contractors and Environmental and Safety Committee member of IOGAWV said " IOGAWV is proud to be able to offer this free training to Preston County and the rest of the state of WV to help them be better informed and educated."
